Hey!Today my class 6/3(and other classes-6/1,6/5 and 6/8)went to Snow City.Everyone was super excited.When we reached there,most students grab their jackets and put it on.The same goes for me.First,we were at the air lock,which is mantained at10°C.It is our gateway to the snow covered areas of Snow City.Upon leaving the airlock, we were greeted by snow and more snow ! Handpainted alpine and polar scenes on the surrounding walls enhance the cold temperature experience.Did you know that the snow level in the Snow Chamber (snow-covered area of Snow City building) is maintained at 400mm in depth. Up to 150 tons of snow are required to cover the snow grounds and about 10 – 15 tons of snow is made each week to maintain this snow level. The amazing fact is: all this snow is produced on-site using a specially-designed snow gun!The 60-metre-long and 14° slope extends the entire length of the building, with the gradient sloping from ground level to almost 3 storeys high at the top. Walkways on both sides of the slope provide easy access to the top.We played for an hour,then we proceeded to the second level to make our very own ice cream!The things needed(what we used)are liquid nitrogen(which freezing point is -196 degrees celsius),diary products,sugar and chocolate syrup(if you want other flavours,replace the chocolate syrup with others).In the end,we ate our ice cream.Yum,yum!
